Dango an (だんごあん)

A hideaway in nature – Enjoy retreat time among clear streams and forests.

Located in Akizuki, Asakura City, Fukuoka Prefecture.

Following the sound of the clear mountain stream, we stepped into “Dangoan,” a hidden gem nestled in the lush green mountains.

Summer Atmosphere

This place shows a special face with the arrival of summer.

From mid-July to early September, the platform seats set up over the river create an atmosphere reminiscent of Edo period cooling stations.

The cool air rising from the clear stream acts like natural air conditioning.

Walking up the slope a bit, you can hear the murmur of the river, and the aromatic smell leads you forward.

Orders are taken at a nearby hut.

Rich Menu Selection

Fragrant mountain trout grilled right before your eyes!

From spring to summer, red and white dango with sparkling soda water is a special treat that makes you forget the heat.

From autumn to winter, warm two-colored dango skewers comfort your heart with the gentle flavors of kinako and uguisu powder.

Don’t miss the local specialty Koshodo chicken dishes.
